The Halloween season has officially come to an end but don’t mourn for too long… Christmas time is just around the corner (Nov 9)! Part of the fun during the “seasons” at Disneyland is seeing the parks all decked out and tasting all the goodies. We’ve listed some of our favorites from this spooky Halloween season below. We had to get to the park at rope drop to get our hands on these delicious donuts. Others were rushing to the rides, we were rushing to the food…priorities!
We had to put this amazing popcorn bucket on here because 1. Disneyland popcorn is the best 2. This is one of our favorite souvenirs.

We were split on the Frozen Abuelita Horchata… Mom and Kenzie loved it, Cody and Courtney not so much. But something we all can agree on is the Sugar Skull Pot de Creme…DELICIOUS
We were late to the party on this one. This was so so yummy and we wish we would’ve tried it sooner… we look at it as a blessing in disguise, probably better we only tried it in it’s last run, could’ve been a dangerous addiction.

Spicy! Spicy! Spicy! Granted, we knew what we were getting ourselves into but in doing so, it took us some time to recover. Let’s just say we did NOT ride the Incredicoaster after eating this. Delicious BUT SPICY.

THIS CAKE. Cream cheese frosting with a Churro flavored mousse filling? Yes. We devoured it. And Yes. We thought about getting another piece.

Here’s the thing…we love a good dessert but what we love even more than that is a good Disney dessert! ma-ka-rohn is a bakery based in Florida that creates out of the box flavored macarons and ships them straight to your doorstep. We received the delicious Nightmare Before Christmas variety pack (we have already devoured half of them as I write this post)…whoops! The delicious flavors that came in our pack are below. Unfortunately, they are all sold out of this limited edition variety pack but you can customize your own with all of the unique flavors they offer.

Happy Almost Halloween!!
Did you know about The Halloween Tree in Frontierland?? We didn’t know about it until we were huddling beneath it for shade and noticed a plaque which read-
“On the night of Halloween 2007 this stately oak officially became The Halloween Tree realizing famed author Ray Bradbury’s dream of having his symbol for the Holiday become a part of Disneyland.”
Inspired by Ray Bradbury’s 1972 novel “The Halloween Tree”, it’s decorated in lights and jack-o-lanterns. Next time you’re in the Frontierland keep your eyes open for this cute oak tree!
The best part about Halloween is PUMPKIN SPICE! Okay- that’s just Kenzie’s personal opinion but is she wrong?? I don’t think so. As we approached October, we started to deck our halls in orange and black and thought it would be festive to make some cookies for the occasion. We looked online for pumpkin spice recipes and found The Mommy Mouse Clubhouse’s recipe on Pumpkin Spice Sugar Cookies. It was our first time making these cookies and I think we found our new Halloween tradition!… All Abooooaardd!
Refrigerate the dough for at least two hours. While the dough is in the fridge you can start prepping the icing or if you’d rather use store bought icing like we did, then you can watch a little Halloween movie instead while the dough is setting!
For the icing, we originally used this recipe on the pumpkin-shaped cookies but found that the flavor of the icing took away from the flavor of the cookie so we went with some good old fashion Betty Crocker Cream Cheese Frosting for the skeleton-shaped cookies.
Pumpkin Spice Sugar Cookies
Beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs. Add the pumpkin, vanilla, pumpkin spice, salt, and baking powder to the mixture. *Note: Next time we would add a little more pumpkin spice so we can REALLY get a stronger flavor* Stir in the flour just until mixed. Refrigerate for at least two hours.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Roll out the dough until 1/8 inch thick. Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes. Transfer the cookies to a cookie sheet and bake for 6-8 minutes. Let them rest on the baking sheet for 1-2 minutes before placing on a cooling rack.
Typically, we only dress like our favorite Disney characters during Halloween but this new(ish) Disney trend is giving us the freedom to dress like them whenever we want! We’ve been noticing some folks in the parks taking part in the Disneybounding craze and we can’t wait to try our hand at it! Kenz created these inspiration boards for some of our favorite characters. We stopped by Sugarfina to pick up their limited edition Mickey The True Original candy. This is just one of the many collaborations celebrating Mickey’s 90th Birthday… at this rate, it feels like we could be celebrating all year long (YAY!) so stay tuned!
Out of the three candies, our favorite was the Mickey Mouse Buttons (berry flavored gummies). We’re trying to find a reason to justify another trip to the store within a couple days of each other but really, we just want more candy and another look at that cute hidden Mickey!!
Kenz just got this cute loungefly backpack from Boxlunch…it seemed like the perfect prop to match. This will be Disney backpack number three for us…we can’t help ourselves, they’re all just too cute!
Mickey Mouse turns 90 this November and in celebration, milk’s favorite cookie has released limited edition birthday cake-flavored Oreos. We were able to get our hands on the delicious cookies by going to Target, but they will be sold nationwide starting Sept 24th while supplies lasts!
Last weekend, we ended our day at the park with a purchase at the Castle Holiday Shoppe in Fantasyland. The cast member helping us asked if we were annual passholders (we are) and then she asked us what our favorite part about being an annual passholder is. We haven’t been asked that question in a loooonng time and it made us think…what IS our favorite part about being annual passholders?
Kenzie: “You can be a little spontaneous! Many times when Courtney and I have been down in Orange County visiting our parents (and the dogs), we’ve made a pit stop for some churros or popcorn. We used to do it in High School too, after class we’d go to Disneyland for the night and just hang out. No pressure, no plans.”
Courtney: “My favorite thing about being a passholder is being able to go to the park any time. We can go just for dinner or to catch a parade or show that we haven’t seen in a while. Also, we get to experience Disney year round, through every holiday. I can’t wait to see the park all decked out for Christmas! It’s my favorite”
Cody: “The Food. That’s not really an annual passholder answer but my favorite part is the food…”
